- Corian® can be thermo-formed, shaped and molded to fit any design for a seamless appearance.
- Other acrylic manufacturers use an inferior acrylic blend, yet they are priced similarly.

6. Can I place a hot pot directly on Corian®?
We do not recommend placing a hot pot directly on Corian®. Although Corian® remains stable and undamaged in temperatures up to 212ºF (100ºC), higher heat levels can damage it. In most cases, heat damage can be repaired. Corian® is repairable. A cracked or heat-damaged section can be removed from the large surface, and a new color-matched piece seamed into it's place. Each of our customers receives a color matched cutting board to be used in this event.
To protect your Corian®, always use a hot pad, trivet, or Corian® cutting board with rubber feet when using hot pots or heat-generating appliances like electric frying pans or cooking pots.

In Corian® sinks, you may wish to use a mild abrasive cleaner, such as Comet® or Ajax® and a Scottch-Brite® pad. Minor scratches, burns or discoloration are also easy to repair. Remember…the best warrranty is a warranty never needed!
At Carlson, we have made tens of thousands of Corian® countertops with an unsurpassed success record.
Your Corian® top is backed by the DuPont Corporation (a United States company). Most of the "look-alike material" warranties (manufactured primarily by non-United States companies) make it difficult, if not impossible, to file a claim, and then cover only product defects per se. The few "look-alikes" that offer installation warranties place responsibility for the fabrication and installation strictly on the fabricator.
Corian® has been satisfying homeowners around the world for more than 30 years. And 98% of the people who have Corian® say they would purchase it again! Rest assured, every inch of Corian® is backed by a 10-year warranty, your ultimate assurance of quality. For a complete warranty details, please check out the Corian® Web Site
